Hello hello! I’m here this week with *two* new recipes for you, an updated one, a sneak peek at next week’s recipe aaaaaand to let you know about april’s exclusive recipe, which went out yesterday. So let’s get into it!
chocolate cherry cake

It’s heeeeerrreeee. And now that I’ve made it, you will definitely be seeing more cakes like it. This cake is made with my moist small batch chocolate cake recipe and is loaded with cherries. After baking off the cake, we’ll slice it into two pieces and load it with a thick, creamy chocolate pudding and more cherries. (Bonus: it’s instant chocolate pudding, but with heavy cream - which means it’s super easy and *super* delicious.) After all that, we’ll top it with a generous pile of whipped cream and more fresh cherries. This cake is super easy to make and the perfect balance of chocolatey, fruity & fresh. I’m thinking we definitely need some kind of vanilla cake with vanilla pudding combo next - so let me know what you’d like to see! :)
white chocolate lavender iced coffee

The perfect coffee for spring. Starbucks recently released their lavender line of drinks, including their lavender cold foam. I always see a lot of mixed reviews on their flavors, and while I haven’t tried their lavender line, I knew I could make a better version for all of you that also won’t break the bank. This leads us to this white chocolate lavender iced coffee right here.
It starts with a super simple white chocolate lavender sauce that’s just made up of white chocolate, heavy whipping cream & lavender extract. We’ll put some of that with our coffee, and then make a pretty, creamy & delicious lavender cold foam to top it all off. This drink is super easy to make, and the sauce makes enough for about 7 drinks aka a week’s worth of delicious coffee.
20 minute chocolate chip cookies

These are the cookies to make when you want cookies asap. These got a little picture update on the blog because it’s been far too long since I’ve posted about them. As the name implies, they take just 20 minutes from start to finish. And honestly, since I’ve made them *so* many times, they take me only about 15 minutes. They come together in one bowl with no mixer required & no chilling time required!
my current favorite: lemon blueberry cookies

This blueberry curd is too pretty and too delicious for this to not be my current favorite recipe. These were last week’s new recipe and I’m still obsessed with them. With a melt-in-your-mouth lemon brown sugar cookie, cream cheese frosting & blueberry curd on top.
april’s subscriber exclusive recipe: lemon berry pound cake

I am in loooove with this cake. So let me break it down for you -
Lemon pound cake: a super moist, zesty lemon pound cake.
Lemon simple syrup: we’ll brush the layers with a lemon simple syrup (lemon & sugar) to make it even more moist & lemon-y.
Vanilla pudding: like above with the chocolate cherry cake, we’re making this pudding filling with instant pudding and heavy cream, which yields the creamiest, most delicious filling.
Lemon whipped cream: some lemon whipped cream on top, for more lemon flavor.
Fresh berries: there are fresh berries loaded into the pudding layers and layered on top of the whipped cream. It’s great because you can easily customize it - whether you want blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
If this cake doesn’t scream spring deliciousness, I don’t know what does.
and a sneak peek for next week: lemon blueberry poppy seed muffins

I haven’t put out a muffin recipe in far too long, so these babes are coming to the blog next week. They’re loaded with lemon zest, poppy seeds & blueberries, super moist (kefir is my secret muffin ingredient - it creates the most perfect texture), and they’re topped with a lemon streusel. They’re also small batch, but, of course, can easily be doubled or tripled as needed.
happy baking!
