happy friday! here’s what’s new (& updated) on fresh bean bakery this week -
apple pie brioche donuts - new! -

Okay I know around this time a lot of us like to enjoy apple cider donuts, but if you’re an apple dessert lover like I am, please let me introduce you to these apple pie brioche donuts because they’re my current favorite recipe. They start with the same fluffy, perfect brioche you’ll see in all my other donut recipes, and then they’re coated in cinnamon sugar and loaded with homemade apple pie filling. The apple pie filling is slightly sweet, perfectly spiced, and of course, full of apple flavor.
They are a bit of work, as most yeast recipes are, but you can make the apple filling and dough the night before, and just fry and assemble them the next morning to make it easier!
pumpkin swirl cheesecake - updated -

It’s pumpkin season, but more importantly, it’s cheesecake season. Of course, I love to enjoy cheesecake year-round, but it just feels like a fall and winter dessert to me. This pumpkin swirl cheesecake is made with a swirl of creamy vanilla cheesecake and pumpkin spice cheesecake. It’s also made with a spiced brown sugar shortbread crust, which is essentially just a cookie crust.
This recipe got a picture update on the blog, aaaand it now includes a recipe for whipped cream in it, in case you want to pile yours high with whipped cream like I always do.
small batch chocolate cupcakes - updated -

These really just got a little picture update on the blog but I think it’s always a great time for some chocolate cupcakes, so I wanted to share them here with you! The batch yields 6 super moist, super chocolatey cupcakes that get piled high with a super rich and creamy chocolate cream cheese frosting.
..aaand that’s all for this week! Thank you so much for reading and following along!
happy baking!
